CCleaner is a utility
program used to clean potentially unwanted files, including temporary
Internet files, where the malicious code and programs tend to reside and
invalid Windows Registry entries from a computer. It is developed by
Piriform. A public version 1.01 for Mac OS X has been released along
with a network issue. In technology the ability to defragment drives and
access to system information in the online service Agomo, developed by
Piriform is added.
Today, cookies, temporary files, and
various other means of tracking your Web footprint are part of the
course. Some of these fans are useful, while others can be potentially
intrusive. Fortunately, there are myriad cleaners free software out
there that help maintain system control. CCleaner is one of the best for
its ease of use and ability of powerful cleaning.
Simple and intuitive design CCleaner will
appeal to users of all levels. Its four functions; Cleaner, Registry,
Tools and Options are displayed prominently on the left side of the
window. We started with the first cleaner, which breaks down your
cleanup options into two tabs: Windows and Applications. The program
works by first analyzing the system and then run the machine itself. By
selecting the appropriate check boxes, we were able to clean our
temporary Internet files, cookies, history and cache of Internet
Explorer and Firefox at the same time, and empty the Recycle Bin and rid
our computer Windows log files. The log function works the same way,
allowing you to check out the options you would like to find the issues.
In less than 30 seconds, the program had
scanned and displayed a long list of invalid entries that you could
then choose to fix or leave alone unchecking the boxes. In less time
than it took to scan, the program sets the issues we had selected. One
note: We had to run the registry cleaner three times in a row before
returning without challenges; each time returned with fewer invalid
entries. Using the tools have, we were able to manage our startup
programs and uninstall programs success. We especially liked that CCleaner allows
you to manage your cookies not to delete those useful when browsing the
Web. As with all registry cleaners is recommended to proceed with
caution before posting or delete any files. CCleaner is offering an
online help function, but for basic cleaning, you probably will not
need.
By default, the project opting for the
installation of desktop and Start menu shortcuts and adding options
execution and open the context menu. You also choose to install Google
Chrome and what is the default browser, so you will have to clear the
check boxes of exclusion. CCleaner installed and removed without leaving behind files or folders.
